Samba's Place
--------------------------------------Who I am---------------------------------------- Thanks for coming along to visit my web page. My name is Philip(a.k.a."Professor"). I am 18 years old, living in Bensonhurst,Brooklyn,(New York City).I am a proud Social Science Major, and a Senior at Brooklyn Tech. High School. Origionally, I come from the beautiful Crimean Peninsula (Ukraine). I have been living in the U.S. for over 8 years now. This is a picture of me.

I am forever happy and often called "naturally high" for my care-free attitiude, but inherently explosive temper(don't worry, I won't erupt on you unless you really annoy me).

I make friends easily, but only with intelligent people.So...wanna be a friend?

If you want to see more pictures of me, my friends, or my homeland, please e-mail me .

As you move down the page, you will see more things about me: Some are surprising, but others may be dull. However, this is me, and I like it.

VSE PONYATNO?????

Below is a new picture. This one is from my February 2000 vacation to the Canary Islands off the coast of Morocco. In the picture is me, standing by a wall to either a temple or the old town of Agadir, Morocco. After this vacation, no other can compare unless I go to Nice or Monte Carlo.

The following picture is of Boris (left to right), Lenny, and me. All 3 of us are into Ballroom Dancing. Boris is known as the studio clown. These guys are my good friends, since I spend hours each week with them at our dance studio. If you are into thinking I am sick about dancing-you may or may not be correct.
The next picture is a recent one. It was taken in December 1999. In it is me in a restaurant at my younger brother's birthday (see page 3 for his stuff).

The last picture in this section is again of me, standing on a facade right by a seriously steep and tall cliff on the island of Lanzarote (Spain) in the Atlantic Ocean. This island is entirely volcanic without any soil and a few trees. As i was told: "you have to learn to love this one." There are plenty of craters on it and the local population is 100% in the tourist industry. It is a part of the Canary Islands.

You will find plenty more pictures of them around my site. I assure you that unless your computer is very powerful and can load all this stuff I put up, you may experience freezes, or even "kick outs" by AOL. Sorry guys, I only tried to make it nice ;)

This site is 6 pages long, so you have plenty to look at!

With time, and if I have any, I will surely update the pictures and text. Last update: 5/18/2000

The map of Canary Islands, Spain. This my favorite vaction spot now.
School takes on the most importance; anyone with ambitions knows that education is priceless. However, the next most important thing after school is DANCE, Ballroom Dance that is. I love to dance. For 5 years now, I have been an active competitor in the extravagant world of BALLROOM Dancing. I LOVE it!;I practice, practice some more, and more until I am ready to compete. Dancing for me is not only a hobby, but a way of life. It is the one thing which gets to be more fun by the day, and the only sport where the way your outfit looks can be the difference between winning and losing.Ballroom Dancing is a sport which brings together thousands of couples from all over the world in one place to battle it out and see who's the best. It is undoubtedly fun. It gives me, and everyone in it the chance to learn how to move, to travel all over the world, and to meet countless people from all over the globe. In short, Ballroom dancing is a way of LIFE for many. They live it and breathe it. I am no exception.
To the right is a picture of my EX-partner Lilian and I dancing at one of our competitons. Right now I am not looking for a partner because of the lack of funds and time, but later on, hopefully, I will.Although it is hard to describe the fun dancing gives, it is possible to tell you that it's addictive. When you see someone dance, it makes you want to do the same thing. Wanna Dance?
----------------------------------What I do--------------------------------
---------------------------------More about me-------------------------------------- To me, good friends take precedence over most things in life; They are always there to help me out. That is why hanging out with my friends is one of the best things to do.We love to play pool, go to restaurants (like all Russians), talk(on cell phones, of course),go to parties, meet people, and many other things-as long as they are fun and legal.
However, not always do you want to be with your friends: to the left is a picture of me lying around in a hammock on an isolated island in the Bahamas, called Blue Lagoon Island. As you may have guessed, there is a lagoon, and I did swim in it. The truth is that this is PARADISE!!! It is a place where the water is blue and clear, and a place where being alone feels good(Why was Robinson Crusoe complaining?). Directly beneath this picture is another picture, also from the Bahamas(they are addicitve). This is me standing on the deck of our ship overlooking the Nassau harbor. Lucky for me, I had the best suite(2 rooms) with 2 large windows facing the front of the ship(In case we encounter an iceberg in the Caribbean, I will be the first one to see it LOL). I also had a private butler serving our suite only, meaning that it is a 24-hour service on the ship just for me. Now, tell me if that is not addicitve?? Nevertheless,I loved it at the Bahamas, and wish to return there someday. The last picture is of my two best friends and I(Far left to far right)--Lenny(Lenin) then Joe(Stalin) and me.These guys are the easiest to deal with and both graduated Tech(now in Baruch College). Together, we hang out almost everyday. We are like family, in short. This is why weekends at Joe's father's apartment on the Upper East Side are full of fun and screwdrivers(long live Vodka!!). Every Friday night, Lenny is the one who picks us up and we drive out to play pool(Boardwalk). After that our routine takes us to Sheepshead Diner-all of you familiar with the Russian side of Brooklyn will know what I am talking about. Yes, we are that corny:we hang out at Sheepshead; At least not at El Greco.

The reason I chose my screen name to be "The Samba" is because Samba is one of the dances I do.

Besides school and dance, I am a lifeguard at the Falls Pool in the Poconos(PA). It is my summer job and the place where I spend time during the summer.
During spare time (what spare time?), I like to draw. I also collect music and can never pass up a music store- (my version of obsessive compulsive behavior). As I have already mentioned, friends are important. That is why I will list a few here: Stalincccp, Spetsnaz27, Doctor, Lenin, Viro, BaHo, DBepb, Greg, Boris, Gala, Tony, Natasha, Tim, Mike, Mifa, Inna, Emancifier,Poopsik, Alex Moldavia, Steve "Rizhiy", Pashka, Little Alex, Shoorik, Alina, Anna, Mark, Vorobey,Sonic,Soldat,Dima Kilin,Eric,Gena,Pavlik "Morozov",Slava Lenchine,Slava,Vlad "Volk",Bkbounce53,Dusya53, Fink120, and many more not mentioned. I respect you all, so "don't do anything I wouldn't do" or as Greg says, "bez kayfa, net laifa."

One last thing here: LIFE...It's sexually transmitted and always fatal.
